Findings:

Elderly students from Brno, Dresden and Kiel exchanging intercultural and intergenerational experience.

Reports from contemporary witnesses as well as studies on the architecture, (Brno), residential biographies (Dresden) and customs / traditions (Kiel) of the past 100 years in order to create and convey generational memories.

• A new understanding of family develops due to spatial distances and different living conditions
• Technological change modifies the way of living together
• Former living conditions were more arduous and are about to fall into oblivion
• Passing on experience to following generations is essential
